Daily Promise: God restores health to you

Jeremiah 30:17
For I will restore health to you,
and your wounds I will heal,
declares the LORD,
because they have called you an outcast:
‘It is Zion, for whom no one cares!’May the Lord cause healing to you. Amen. Rev Samuel Muwonge.

Daily Promise: We are more than conquerors

Romans 8:37
ESV
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
NIV
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
NASB
But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us.
CSB
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
NLT
No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.
KJV
Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
NKJV
Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
What does Romans 8:37 mean?
In verse 35, Paul listed several terrible things that might happen to a person in this life. His point was that none of them could separate those of us who are in Christ from His love for us. Nothing so terrible could ever happen to us that would keep us from being in Christ, or to keep Christ from loving us, or to prove that Christ no longer loves us.

Now he writes that in all those things—hardship, trouble, famine, exposure, threats, or violence—we are "more than conquerors through [Christ] who loved us." This description comes from the Greek word hypernikōmen, which carries the idea of extraordinary, exceeding victory, in a continual state: to perpetually increase in triumph. Does this mean none of these troubles will ever happen to us, or that we can eliminate them in this life? No, clearly not, based on the context of this passage. Even more, it's important to note that many of them happened to Paul himself (2 Corinthians 11:23–29).

Rather, those who are saved by faith in Christ (Romans 3:23–26; John 3:16–18) conquer those terrible things in the sense that Christ has already won the most important victory for us. That victory, our place in God's family, our share in the inheritance of His glory, cannot be taken from us by any means. We conquer in the sense that none of these things can overcome what God's love has gained for us.

Romans 8:31-39 is one of the most encouraging and affirming passages in all of God's Word. Paul has established that God is for all of us who are in Christ; for those who have been saved by their faith. No charge or accusation made against us can stand, because God has provided for our justification and Christ is interceding for us. Paul makes two lists of all of the things in the universe that cannot separate us from God's love for us in Christ. Hard things will happen, indeed. Yet, none of them will cause our Father to stop loving us, nor are any of them signs that He has abandoned us. Our salvation is entirely, absolutely secure on account of His great love
In Summary
Romans 8 begins and ends with declarations of the Christian's absolute security before God. There is no condemnation for those in Christ, and nothing will ever be able to separate us from His love. Having believed the gospel, we now live in the Spirit of God. That allows us to call God Abba Father. We suffer with Christ, and we suffer along with all creation while we wait for God to reveal us as His sons. With the help of the Spirit, we are confident that God is for us and loves us in Christ.
Beloved you are a Victor and Loved by God. Shalom.

Daily Promise: The name of the Lord is a strong tower

DAILY PROMISE
Proverbs 18:10
ESV
The name of the Lord is a strong tower;the righteous man runs into it and is safe.
NIV
The name of the Lord is a fortified tower;the righteous run to it and are safe.
NASB
The name of the Lord is a strong tower; The righteous runs into it and is safe.
CSB
The name of the Lord is a strong tower;the righteous run to it and are protected.
NLT
The name of the Lord is a strong fortress;the godly run to him and are safe.
KJV

The name of the Lord is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe.
WHAT DOES PROVERBS 18:10 mean?
"The name" of God represents His character. The righteous person finds security in all that the Lord is. Much of the book of Proverbs is encouragement to rely on godly wisdom (Proverbs 1:7) instead of worldly foolishness (Proverbs 3:35). Exodus 34:5 tells us the Lord descended in the cloud and stood with Moses at Mount Sinai, and there He proclaimed His name. He said, "The LORD, the LORD, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and bounding in steadfast love and faithfulness, keeping steadfast love for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin" (Exodus 34:6–7).

When hard times come on believers in Christ, they can take refuge in the Lord's mercy, grace, love, faithfulness, and forgiveness. Physical safety is not always part of God's plan (Job 13:15; John 16:33), but Christians know their ultimate hope is not in this world (1 John 2:17). He will always work everything for their good and His glory (Romans 8:28–30). Proverbs 29:25 affirms, "The fear of man lays a snare, but whoever trusts in the LORD is safe." Believers have no reason to fear, knowing how good the Lord is.
Blessed day.

Daily Promise: God promises to make you a great nation

Genesis 17:20, "I will make him into a great nation." God gave this promise to Abraham.  God didn’t just promise to make Abraham into a nation; but promised to make him into a great nation. God spoke this powerful promise over his life.

God blessed him so greatly simply because he was obedient and did what was right in God’s eyes. This blessing didn’t stop with him. It passed down to his descendants, generation after generation, to those who trusted in the Lord and obeyed His commandments.

Today this same promise is for you. God will bless you, make you a great nation, give you descendants like the stars, influence to bless others, and prosperity to live righteously. Receive this blessing today! God will make you a great nation.

Have a great day. Shalom!

Daily Promise: There's power in the name of Jesus

POWER IN THE NAME JESUS
John 14:13-14 ESV

Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.

Philippians 2:9-11 ESV
Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Daily Promise

Jesus prepared his disciples for his absence in John 13-17, he called them into relationship with him by saying they were no longer servants but friends. The forgiveness of our sin flows into friendship with God. We’re saved from sin and to relationship with God. We have a friend in Jesus and spiritual relationships with one another.

Love One Another As I Have Loved You:
John 15:12-13
Jesus has been teaching his disciples about the need to be connected to him as a branch is connected to the vine. We draw life from Christ and are able to bear spiritual fruit through our dependence on Jesus. Nine times in John 15:1-11 Jesus commanded his disciples to Abide in him. To abide is a posture of rest and reliance and at the same time something they are commanded to do. We are instructed to abide in the word and prayer, by recognizing God’s love, following his commandments and through Christian community (John 15:8-12). This command to “love one another as I have loved you” is not given in isolation to the command to abide, but is one of the ways we are called to follow Christ and abide in him.

That begs the question, what was Jesus love like? There are many adjectives to describe Jesus’s love, but let’s look at three that come from what we see in our text: sacrificial, pure and unearned.

His love was sacrificial. Jesus told them that there is “no greater love than this, to lay down your life for your friends.” On his path to the cross Jesus pointed out how his death on the cross was for their forgiveness, reconciliation and part of God’s plan to make all things new. They struggled to understand this in the moment, but would later see it. John would comment on it in 1 John 3:16 “by this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for one another.” Jesus was not just doing the bare minimum to get us cleaned up for God the Father, instead the cross displays what kind of love he has for us and he called his followers to emulate that kind of love.

His love was pure. Jesus never used people for his agenda or his ego. His love pushed people towards holiness and never encouraged people to sin. You can see this in the various interactions between people and  Jesus in the gospels, they always leave his presence changed and he brought dignity and selfless humility into each of those encounters. We can be suspicious of people who are kind and loving towards us and concerned they have ulterior motives, but never with Christ, his love is pure.

His love was unearned. Jesus told his disciples that he chose them, they did not choose him. Jesus did not call the best and the brightest to follow him. The gospel emphasizes that our salvation is not based on our worth or our loveliness but God’s grace.  This choosing language is often the basis of the doctrine of election which emphasizes God’s role in opening up our hearts to hear the gospel and respond to his grace. This focus on God’s choosing usually emphasizes his grace and his love. For example, Ephesians 1:4-5 highlights that before the foundation of the world we were chosen to be adopted in love. Paul writes that before we could do any good or bad, God loved us and showed grace to us. When it comes to the love of Jesus, it goes first and is not in response to our having loved him first; his love is unearned (1 John 4:19). Beloved, Never loan your heart to hatred; it pays you back with self-destruction. Majority of people living are not aware that anger is an acid that destroys its own container.

Daily Promise: Whoever has the Son has life

IJOHN 5:12.
Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.
NIV
Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.
NASB
The one who has the Son has the life; the one who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.
CSB
The one who has the Son has life. The one who does not have the Son of God does not have life.
NLT
Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have God’s Son does not have life.
KJV
He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
NKJV
He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.
What does 1 John 5:12 mean?
John summarizes this section by echoing the teachings of Jesus found in John 14:6: "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." Jesus has life and is life, both abundant life (John 10:10) and eternal life (John 3:16). Part of John's purpose in writing this letter is to counter discouragement. False teachers, it seems, were telling believers that they didn't really have eternal life (1 John 2:25–26).

The need for Christ, and only Christ, is also the message proclaimed by all of the apostles. When brought before the religious teachers, Peter said, "And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). Paul taught, "For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek" (Romans 1:16). Wishing you a blessed day. Mukwano gwange jjukiranga bulijjo nti alina Omwana Yesu alina obulamu obutagwaawo atalina Mwana Yesu talina bulamu. Ggwe olina obulamu? Romans 10:9--10.

Daily Promise: God promises purpose in pain

“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.”  - James 1:2-3

God reminds us to choose joy in whatever we face, confident that He is working even though every trial and hard place, to bring us greater endurance. We never gain greater strength and spiritual muscles simply by living an “easy” life. We can only build deeper faith and perseverance by walking through the hard times that press us more closely into His Presence.

Shalom!!

Daily Promise: GOD FIGHTS FOR US

"The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still." Exodus 14:14

This powerful promise reminds us that the battles we face are not ours to fight alone. Whether we’re facing personal struggles, spiritual warfare, or overwhelming circumstances, God goes before us, defending and protecting us. Our job is to trust in His strength and be still, allowing Him to bring victory in His way and time. In all your going through trust God to fight for you.
Amen.

2Corinthians 1:3--4 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God..

He is with us through it all. Those who have received his comfort can pass it on to others. So if you are currently in the midst of affliction, ask God to provide comfort, and trust that he will do it, whether through his word, his Holy Spirit, or through one of his people . Beloved, the world is filled with hurting people and God expects us to help hurting people. God prepares us to help other people who suffer by comforting us in our suffering. Please share the lessons you have learned from comfort given to you by God to help others who are suffering now. The things we experience can become toolsin our hands to offer support to others who may be going through a smillar difficulty. Beloved look at someone around you who is passing through what you have already experienced and offer the same comfort God offered to you. DAILY PROMISE: God helps you to control your temper

DAILY PROMISE
PROVERBS 16:32
In this verse Solomon commends the person who controls their temper. The ability to defeat others in battle is impressive, but well-developed self-control is an even rarer gift (James 3:2; Psalm 32:8–9). Solomon makes a similar point in Proverbs 14:29, and again compares self-control to warfare in Proverbs 25:28. This is quite a commendation, as military might was extremely important and well respected in Solomon's time. Nevertheless, self-discipline that puts a lid on anger and controls passions, appetites, affections, and temper is a greater advantage than being a renowned soldier.

In 1 Corinthians 9:24–27 Paul writes about the importance of self-discipline. He points out that athletes practice self-discipline to win a temporary earthly token. Paul, however, sought self-discipline to gain rewards that would never be lost.

DAILY PROMISE

God will guard your heart and mind from anxiety

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7

When we battle with a struggle, it’s hard sometimes not to worry. Everything within us seems to drift to the “what if’s” and “why’s” in whatever it is we face. God’s words bring life and peace. He understands how prone we are to worry and fear, He reminds us we have to make the choice not to be driven by anxiety.

He calls us to Himself, He reminds us to pray, to choose gratefulness, and to bring all our needs and requests to Him. And the very peace of God, which we can’t even fully understand, will guard our hearts and minds in Christ.
